Today, I’m going to introduce esim, which is essential for traveling to Korea!
Just in case there are people who don’t know about ESIM, let me explain briefly!
And I will also introduce you to the ESIM site that you will use for your trip to Korea!
I’m not introducing the company for a price, but I found it myself to help you guys, so I think it would be good to refer to it!
KOREA TRAVEL ESIM
1. What’s ESIM?
Think of ESIM as a digital SIM card that can be used comfortably overseas by using a program built into your phone without replacing USIM!
In the past, Koreans used USIM or roaming service when they went abroad, but esim became available from July 2022.
Therefore, there are not many ESIM providers in Korea that foreigners use to enter the country yet!
2. mobile carrier
There are three representative a mobile carriers in Korea. SKT / KT / LG U+! SKT has the most users, but ESIM honestly doesn’t matter which mobile carrier you use!
As you know, Korea is a country with great mobile communication, so you can easily use phone calls, text messages, and Wi-Fi anywhere in the country.
But if I get to buy ESIM, I would recommend SKT as a carrier! There must be a reason why I use it the most, right?
3. ESIM Providers
1) AIRALO
You all know AIRALO, right? It can be used very safely because it is a supplier of ESIM all over the world.
There is also an app that supports both Android and iPhone, so you can use it very easily if you buy it after installing it!
The downside is that the price is a little higher than other places, and only LG U+ mobile carriers are supported! But there will be no problem using it!

2) KOREA SIM
KOREA SIM is a Korean company, and SKT, KT, and LG U+ are all available! It’s cheap and it’s so convenient to use because they send you a QR code right away through email when you pay!
Personally, I recommend using SKT!
It has good reviews and answers quickly if you ask the customer center for questions, so try using it!

3) ESIM KOREA
I think this company should divide the plans and prices into more detailed ones and report them well when choosing.
There are a variety of plans, from unlimited data plans to 6GB 10 days plans, Seoul plans, and Jeju plans, but I personally think it’s worse than the two companies above.

It’s a shame that there aren’t many companies because it’s only been a year since I used ESIM in Korea!
Even though Korea is a telecommunications powerhouse, the policy has not been implemented due to the interests of telecommunication companies.
Personally, among the companies introduced above, AIRALO and KOREA SIM are reliable, so I hope you will compare them well and decide!
